Wine is more than an alcoholic beverage. It’s almost a way of life! There are more wine accessories available than you could even imagine. From the necessities like corkscrews and glasses, to the not so necessary yet entertaining accessories like decanters, ice buckets, and pourers - there is more to wine than just drinking it. Corkscrews & Openers While there are hundreds of varieties of corkscrews, they all work in basically the same fashion. You screw one end directly into the center of the wine’s cork, and use a handle to life the cork out of the bottle in order to enjoy your bottle of wine. If you want something other than a corkscrew, you can find another style of opener that uses cartridges to “pop” the cork out of the bottle. The pop style openers tend to be a little more expensive than the traditional corkscrew, but image is everything when it comes to wine, and a specialty opener may be just the extra accessory you need for your dinner parties or restaurant atmosphere. Decanters Decanters are glass bottles with special shapes designed to encourage the heightening of wine flavors when you store your open wine in them. They also make for a nice presentation when you place the decanter on the table. There are literally countless different shapes and styles that decanters come in. Many resemble a glass flower vase. Certain wines should be placed in specific shapes of wine decanters in order to enhance the flavor of the wine to the fullest extent. Others can be stored in any of the fancy decanters. For an incredible display, you could find a decanter with it’s own base unit. These are highly stylish, and often hold the decanter at an angle, and suspended over the table. Some decanters come with glass ball stoppers to be placed on the opening of the bottle in order to keep the freshness in when the wine is stored. Air can have damaging effects to the properties of wine, and so it’s usually best to keep open wine in an airtight container. Additionally, some decanters are able to remove sediments from older wine and aerate younger wines to further enhance their flavors. Decanters are certainly not necessary to drinking wine (you can place the cork back in the bottle of a wine to keep the air out when you’re not pouring the wine) but they certainly make for a nicer presentation and can actually help the overall flavor of the wine. Wine Racks Where do you store your wine bottles? If you’re like most people, you keep them in one of your kitchen cabinets until you’re ready to use them, or maybe in the basement. If you drink wine often, however, you would probably enjoy having an elegant and functional wine rack in the kitchen or dining room that is designed to display and hold your wine bottles, glasses, and accessories. Some wine racks are mounted to overhead cabinet space, so that the bottles are placed lying down inside them, while the glasses hang from their stems. These are perfect for kitchens with decent space under their overhead cabinets. If you don’t have the room for this style of wine rack, there are wine racks that sit directly on the counter, and hold the bottles at arms reach. If your kitchen simply doesn’t have the space on the counter top or under the overhead cabinets for these styles, you can enjoy a wine rack that stands alone. These often have small base units, sometimes refrigerated, as well as space for glasses and accessories. They take up more floor space, but can really dress up a dining area.

The most beautiful jewels custom jewels
Rare metals and gemstones together with a pleasant design and quality crafting are the best ingredients for the creation of the perfect piece of jewellery. Every beautiful precious stone can become a beautiful jewel if crafted right. If you want to create a custom designed jewel, so that you can choose the metal and the gemstone that make the perfect piece of jewellery for you, you should take some things into consideration. First of all, ask for an expert gemologist's advice in this matter. He can share precious tips and tricks with you and most important he can help you evaluate the stone's value and authenticity, because these days the market is full of stones that claim to be genuine but in fact don't worth anything. It would be perfect if the expert knows you as a friend, and he knows your tastes, because this will help him choose and design the jewellery that fits you best. Make sure that the stone that you have chosen will be complementary to the jewel's design. The form and color of the metallic part must be attuned with the gemstone. Some people prefer to incorporate, instead of a precious stone, a picture of their loved one. Pictures are usually incorporated in pendants or brooches. If you really want your custom-designed gemstone to be very special you can purchase one of the rarest stones available on the market, like a violet sapphire for example, which is only found in a few rare places in Tanzania. There are many gemstones available, so there are many colors and textures that you can choose from. Do not rush, make sure that you look at a large number of stones for your jewellery, because there are infinite possibilities in front of you when creating custom jewellery. Invest plenty of time in the search for the stone and design, because this search will be rewarded with a perfect jewel for you! If you want to order a custom piece of jewellery as a present for your significant other's birthday for example, start searching at least a month before the birthday. Nowadays custom bracelets are very fashionable. They can be found in many shops. A custom bracelet is a special bracelet that has your own name imprinted on it. They are perfect at familiar birthday parties as a reminder from the person who organized the party. Custom bracelets are also used by charitable organizations in order to increase the popularity of their events. Between the letters that spell your nme various stones can be placed, making some of the custom bracelets very beautiful and full of taste, they can even be considered artistic. You may consider antique, or even other culture's jewels a source of inspiration for your custom design. If everything will work as it should, you will have a lasting piece of jewellery of great emotional value and beauty.

The reality of building your own home business
We’ve all seen the ads; they promise thousands of dollars overnight. Signing up with them will guarantee overnight success. It will solve all the financial problems you’ve ever had and you will be living the American dream, right? The truth is many of these programs are not guaranteeing overnight success. They are simply showing you what they have done over time with this program. They did not sign up and make $10,000 dollars the next day or even month. But because there are those who would prey on the dreams of the masses we end up thinking that all of these offers must be scams when they don’t deliver overnight success. This disillusionment is responsible for so much of the failure in the home business field today. People buy into the hype and when they don’t receive a check in the mail the next day they think they’ve been scammed. The truth of the matter is that many of these programs are solid. If you look beyond the hype there are real people out there making real money. They weren’t scammed and ultimately neither were you. So why are they making money and you aren’t? The reality is that like any good business it does not become profitable over night. You wouldn’t shell out millions of dollars on a franchise like McDonalds and expect to have covered all your expenses the next day. So why do people spend $20-50 on a home business product and expect to cover their startup cost plus so much more the next day or week? The reality of home business is that it must be built like any other business. The amazing upside to home business is that you don’t need to have millions to start your own business. You can own your own website, promote it and start getting traffic to it for less than $100. Anyone who is determined and has the drive to succeed can make it in the home business world. Don’t get me wrong the scams are out there, and I’ve hit upon a few myself. So the real question for you then is how do you know who to trust. The best way to find out whether or not to put your money into a program is to do your research. Start out by searching for info about the product on Google or and search engine you trust. The best way to find out good solid information is to find a trusted forum where people who have been making money in home business for years hang out and give advice. Why can you trust these people? Because one - they are not allowed to spam or advertise their businesses in these forum. In forums like Conquer Your Niche and Warrior Forum business owners will get kicked out for promoting their own sites. And two - because if they offer bad advice there are literally hundreds of experts in the forums everyday who will lay the smack down on anyone offering crappy advice. And three – because the forums are free. They are not asking for your money to join. You just sign up and hang out and learn. A great way to get some free education. Here are links to both forums: CYN: conqueryourniche/forum/sbilden Warrior Forum: WarriorForum/forum/ So armed with this bit of education I hope you can go forth with realistic expectations. Most of all don’t lose hope. Doubt is the biggest success killer. If you believe you can do it you can.
Do you think you re in control of your life
: You’re highly motivated to change, but you still can’t seem to stop behaving in ways you hate. You have excellent problem-solving skills, yet you can’t solve the personal ones that plague you the most. You know that if you do your job well, you’ll probably get a raise and/or a promotion, yet you go ahead and sabotage it. You know that if you’re considerate of people you’ll be well liked, yet you can’t stop being rude. You know that if you’re careful about saving and investing your money you’ll probably enjoy a prosperous retirement, yet you spend carelessly. Why can’t you figure out how to change your behavior and so change your life? Why, if what you’re doing is making you unhappy, can’t you stop doing it? When we have problems that we can’t seem to solve, many of us start thinking that we’re lazy, inexperienced, or maybe even unintelligent. We do this because it’s too scary for us to conclude the alternative. What is the alternative? That it may not be possible for us to be in control of our lives. If it were so easy to be in control, wouldn’t we all just do it? Make the change, stop the pain, live happily? Free Choice: Do You Really Have It? This question of whether or not you actually possess free will has been a hot topic for a long, long time. From theologians to philosophers to the parents of teenagers, the question has been discussed and debated ad infinitum. Why? Because free choice and compulsive self-defeating behavior coexist in all of us. Who Is Fighting for Control of Your Soul? It’s not only God and the Devil who may be fighting for control of your soul—you’re right in there too. When you can’t believe that you’re behaving just like your parent did—even though you promised yourself that you’d be different when you were a parent yourself—you are entering the fray. People usually assume that they can control their lives because much of the time, by following good advice, by applying rational strategies, or by appreciating the lessons from past experience, they do in fact succeed. Yet, at the same time, many of us also recognize that our free will is limited. We recognize this most often when we come face-to-face with an example of our self-defeating behavior and we know that this behavior hasn’t budged even though we’ve done our best to overcome it. Which leads me to ask . . . Willpower and Self-Interest: Enough to Make You Change? When a magazine presents you with “Five Easy Steps to Losing Weight,” when an audio series offers “Four Tapes to Investment Success,” and a TV personality does back-to-back shows on “The Ins & Outs of Good Parenting,” you know that if you actually had control over life, achieving these goals and improving your life would be as simple as buying a subscription, purchasing some tapes, or turning on the TV. Nice and easy, right? Don’t we wish. But what happens when we do all of the above and we wind up failing anyway? What are we left to believe about ourselves? “I’m lazy.” “I’m stupid.” “I’m a screwup.” But here’s something to think about. Were you “lazy” when you were looking for a date on a computer dating service and you went through hundreds of potential matches? Is that what a “lazy” person does? Were you a screwup when you wanted a job and went out and made sure you got the right training to do it well? Is that what a “screwup” does? And when it came to learning how to use your new computer and you managed just fine, was that being “stupid”? So actually, those reasons won’t work with you across the board, will they? Then what will? Because it is getting pretty frustrating not being able to use your intelligence, your energy, your determination to succeed in all areas of your life. The solution exists and it lies in our hidden self-destructive motivations. If you could understand the nature of your hidden negative motivations, you could use that information to change. What if you had an illness, but you didn’t know it was caused by a specific germ? Your suffering could be long and needless because you might not know which of the available antibiotics was the right one to take. Or, let’s say you wanted to make yourself more attractive but you lived in a world without mirrors. It would be difficult for you to know what to do. Did you need to improve you hair, your complexion, or your teeth or your skin? These examples show us the important concept: to solve any problem and change your life . . . look for the underlying causes. People want to be successful and happy in life. Period. So if you find yourself behaving in ways that you hate, getting bad reactions from people around you, and having little success using willpower and advice to change those actions, wouldn’t it seem that something beyond your control is dictating your actions? You’re like a well-made ship piloted by a captain who forgot to bring the navigation charts on the voyage. All of the captain’s successes in other areas of his life won’t help him on this particular voyage. So in the next article, “The Major Behaviors We Hate” let’s roll out our own ship’s charts and see how to navigate the choppy seas of our lives.
Fraud prevention tips for the elderly
Older people may be victims of frauds like con games and insurance, home repair, telephone, or internet scams. Even “trusted” friends or family members have been known to steal an older person’s money or property. The following tips may help: Don’t be afraid to hang up on telephone salespeople. You aren’t being impolite. You are taking care of yourself! Remember, you can say no to any offer. Don’t give any personal information, including your credit card number or bank account, over the phone unless you were the one who made the call. Don’t take money from your bank account if a stranger tells you to. In one common swindle, a thief pretends to be a bank employee and asks you to take out money to “test” a bank teller. Banks do not check their employees this way. Don’t be fooled by deals that seem too good to be true. They are often rip-offs. Beware of deals that ask for a lot of money up front and promise you more money later. Check with your local Better Business Bureau to get more information about the record of any company before doing business with them. Do be on guard about hiring people who come door-to-door looking for home repair work. They may not be trained to do the work, and they may overcharge you. You should try to check their references. Always spell out the details of the work you want done in writing. Never pay for the whole job in advance. Avoid Identity Theft How can someone steal your identity? Using your name, Social Security number, or credit card without your okay is called identity theft and it’s a serious crime. Be sure to protect yourself: Do keep information about your checking account private. Put all new and cancelled checks in a safe place, report any stolen checks right away, and carefully look at your monthly bank account statement. Do shred everything that has personal information about you written on it. Do be very careful when buying things online. Websites without security may not protect your credit card or bank account information. Look for information saying that a website has a secure server before buying anything online. Do check with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) to find out how to protect yourself from common online scams that can trick you into revealing your personal or financial information.
It is personal it s business
“It’s not personal, it’s business”- The gangster says to his victim pointing the barrel of the gun straight at his head. Then, the camera angle changes, the shot fires, and the body of the helpless victim falls on the ground. You have probably seen a couple of movies with scenes similar to this one. It exemplifies very well that in the mafia style business, making money comes before anything else, no matter which law needs to be broken or how deep or personal the relationship was with the person that needed to be “taken care of”. If that person was somehow interfering with business, they had to go away. Unfortunately, many businesses nowadays have adopted the same “It’s not personal, it’s business” mentality and they put the interests of their customers in the back burner. How? Not establishing a good relationship with the customers, tricking him into spending his money in low quality products, not having a friendly, helping attitude, not trying to go beyond his expectations, but falling short of them, lying and being unreliable, just to name a few. These are costly mistakes that pretty much tell the customer right to his face that his interests are not the first priority. “It’s not personal, it’s business”. How can you, as an online business owner not fall into this trap that could potentially destroy your credibility and the success of your business? Let’s talk about three basic concepts that could put you on the right path. 1-Use Your Words Your customer will most likely visit your website as the first means for getting to know your business and check out your offers and products. The way you approach him with your words could give him the beginning warmth and trust on which you can start building a long lasting, happy relationship. Write to him; make him feel as if you wrote the words with him in mind. Use good grammar, be polite and stay professional. You can even display a small sense of humor; it will be refreshing for the customer. Always make him feel comfortable, don’t pressure him to buy. Remember, you want happy, repeat customers, not a one time disappointed buyer. 2-Display Honesty With all the scams, the garbage and the filth floating around the Internet today, it is easy to understand why many regular online customers have developed a special “sense” to sniff out lies and untruthful hypes miles away. If something sounds too good to be true, they will automatically assume that it is. Be very careful. Be honest when promoting your products and when answering the customer’s questions or concerns. Remember, you’re not just trying to get the sale; you’re trying to gain the customer’s trust, build a relationship and keep him coming back for more. Show that to the customer. Achieving this will put your business right on the path to success. 3-Freebies Giving away some freebies are a great way to get the visitor motivated to buying and keep coming back for more. What should you give away for free? Maybe a sample of the product that your business is based on, or a free e-book with content related to the one on your website. Make sure that your freebies portray the quality of the products or information that you are promoting. It will speak greatly to the visitor, as he already has the mindset that free things are either not really free or useless. If you give away something of quality and useful to the visitor, I guarantee you that he will most likely become a happy customer. Most important of all, base your business on creating, not only happy customers, but raving fans. If you can go beyond your customer’s expectations every time, you will have loyal customers for a very long time. Always keep that in mind, in every aspect of the way you do business. Remember, create relationships, not one time disappointed buyers. Your business will skyrocket to levels of success that you have probably never imagined. You will have happy customers that will respect you and trust you, and will talk great about your business every time they have the chance, sending even more visitors and potential customers your way. Win-Win. The gangster gets the job done. The intruder has been “taken care of”. Now he can go back to his boss and get paid. It’s all about the business. In your style of business, however, this won’t work very well, as we have already established. Make sure that with your words and actions you let every single one of your customers know: It is personal, it’s business.

Rail passes offer discount train travel throughout europe
Consecutive or flexi travel? One country or a whole bunch? Saver passes? Rail 'n Drive? Overwhelmed with trying to pick the right European rail pass? Possibilities can be daunting... but choosing the perfect pass can save you time and money. A rail pass lets you bypass long ticket lines at the train station. You won't have to wrestle with an unfamiliar language just to buy a ticket. Best of all, you'll save cash -- providing you choose the right pass. European rail pass types vary to suit a range of routes and whims. Best known is the original Eurail Global Pass which lets you meander back and forth among 18 countries. Eurail Select Pass -- formerly Europass -- lets pass holders crisscross three, four or five bordering countries. Multi-country passes are for exploring selected regions and some adjoining countries. There are also a wide range of single-country passes available. European rail passes are available in two formats. Consecutive passes, valid from two weeks to three months, permit non-stop travel for the duration of the pass (ie: a 15-day pass is valid for 15 consecutive days of travel). Flexi passes are designed for itineraries entailing a limited number of travel days over an extended period: generally, from three to 10 travel days within a two-month period. Rail 'n Drive flexi passes include several days of car rental. Classes of travel vary. Eurail Global Pass and Eurail Select Pass are for first class train travel only. Multi-country passes and single-country passes are available for first class travel and, sometimes, second class travel. Youth passes, as well as Scanrail and Norway rail passes, accommodate only second class. Most passes are available at discounts. Saver passes cut expenses for group travel by train. Youth passes can be a great deal for students and gap year breaks and older travelers are sometimes eligible for discounted senior passes. Kids under 12 get up to half off when accompanied by an adult (tots, under age four, generally travel free). Some passes will get you free or discounted travel on ferries, buses and private trains (even Eurostar) -- plus sleeper upgrades and deals on hotels and local attractions. If you plan to "pass" through Europe, read the fine print. A few guidelines prevail. Buy your rail passes before you leave home because they're very hard to find in Europe. Although passes don't guarantee you a seat it's generally unnecessary to reserve a place in advance. Exceptions are for travel during peak times and aboard selected trains, like TGVs, which require reservations at all times. Always have your passport handy and be sure to get your rail pass validated before boarding a train for the first time. Lastly, be mindful of the ubiquitous caveat: conditions, restrictions and fees may apply. To learn more, visit the Euro Rail Pass Guide at TrainTraveling traintraveling/eurorailpassguide

Change means action
"Progress is a nice word. But change is its motivator. And change has its enemies." - Robert Kennedy Change does have enemies and Robert Kennedy knew that truth and paid for it with his blood. Change can be dangerous. That is why our natural instinct is to stay the course; stay put; avoid trying something new; leaving well enough alone; being safe; and I could mention another twenty or so excuses. If you are the type that wants to stay in your comfort zone, you will never experience the immense joy that comes from living. In order to succeed we must take risks and that means we have to change. Robert Kennedy said this in the context of politics. He referred to making progress as a nation. The only way to make progress as a nation is to change our point of view, to change the way we govern ourselves, to change certain laws that are unfair, and change the way we deal with the bad guys. But his words can apply to any aspect of life, not just politics. In my career as a trainer I can say that change is the one thing that is needed the most and done the least. I have seen people go way out of their way just to avoid change. I trained adults in job readiness skills. Let me tell you that there were times I couldn't even get an adult to change their seat after 20 minutes of being seated in class. That is how ridiculous we can get about change. We all need to train ourselves to be more open. But it goes further than that. Change is an action word and that means we need to act if we are going to progress. Change is not a theoretical practice of the mind, it implies real physical movement. For example, we may say that we have changed our attitude towards someone, but unless that is followed up by an action towards that certain person, they are only shallow words. Change means to repent. I instantly scare people away as soon as I say that because of the religious overtones. Well you can apply this to religion if you like. All I am saying is when someone says to you to repent, it simply means to change what you are doing. Change requires 3 things. The first is to recognize the need to change. The second is you actually do the action that is required. The third is you maintain the new course of action. Those happen to be the same three things involved in repentance. They say that recognizing that you need to change is half the battle and that is so true in my experience. The changing part is actually a lot less difficult to do than the first part which again is recognizing that you need to change. The final part is easy. It just requires that you keep on doing the new action over and over again. The second part in the middle means you must turn around and do something different to prove that what you recognized as needed to be done will be done. Change is empowering no matter how small it is as long as it is positive. Today, why not give change a chance and perform an action that you know needs to be done in your life. You will be gratified and empowered when you do it!
Breaking the habit
We can greatly appreciate the enormous benefit of motorcycle brakes the moment we are faced with our most nerve-racking and supposed-to-be dreadful ride. This is the reason why we have to maintain it well. We must be certain that it will not keep us hanging whenever we need it. It can turn out to be our last feasible resort – no second chances because what we can be battling in the situation is our loved one’s life or our very life. Every part of the brakes must be carefully examined so as to prevent troublesome incidents in the future. We also have to consider the brakes’ good wear characteristics, kind – whether OEM or that of an aftermarket motorcycle parts, its price and of course its function and performance. According to the expert, the best motorcycle brake is that of an OEM. That is true. However, there are aftermarket motorcycle brakes that are equal to the OEM’s quality but of lesser price. When you know you have a better option, why will you settle for less? Why not grab the chance to own the best? The common motorcycle brake pad design depends upon the disparaging process of dragging the pad against the disc to create the heat or friction in order for the bike to stop. For the braking fluid not to boil or denigrate, heat must be dissipated. Thus, the pad has to have a lot of ‘fill’ material for heat dissipation and the friction portion of the pad chemistry must be very severe. This will reduce the amount of actual friction-producing material. Nonetheless, this may lead to short rotor life, noise, brake "dusting" degradation, and reduced effectiveness of the pad itself. There are other manufacturers that undertake on a totally different principle in creating bike’s friction. The brake pad material is adequately heated to embed into the brake disk. This material transfer from brake pad to disk continues as long as the pad is in use. Cushioning effect will become apparent as the embedded material gets thicker with use. This effect dampens the tendency for the friction material to seize the rotor. This system is called the carbon brake system. Bear in mind that an excellent motorcycle brake has a good bite, dissipates heat well, and is durable. These qualities must be your basis in choosing your brakes. This is the neutral ground where we decide what brakes to use.

The simplest way to get online passive income
Based on my research, this seems to be the basic principle that website owners have been following to get passive income online: * Get many people to come to your website * Get them to click on your Adsense links Sounds simple enough. Get people into your website from Google search, then link out to an Adsense Ad. Search In – Adsense Out. Practically applying it to get sufficient commendable income, however, can be quite a challenge. The first problem is how to get many visitors to your website. That’s where Search Engine Optimization comes in. However, this is really easier said that done. It’s a bit of an artwork. You basically have to read the mind of an Internet user. What keywords would he use? Why would he visit your website? Do you have the content go get people interested enough to get to your website? Basically, your goal is visibility. You have to be seen. You can do this using SEO or using traditional brand-building methods. Tell your friends, family and colleagues. If they have websites, politely ask if you could link with each other. For those lucky few that are already on top of the search engines, this is not a problem. Others (including myself) would have to work hard at it. Look at FilipinoLinks. It’s been around for a very long time and has made quite a foundation. It would not be too difficult for its owners to tweak the website for SEO. Experts have varied opinions on what to put in a website. Some say, put relevant important content – with around 500-1000 words on each of your website. Some say provide simple 300 word news posts. Another option to get clicks would be to advertise online for keywords. Adwords is an example of a tool that can allow you to do this. There will be marketing expenses in this scenario. The goal here is to get more Adsense income than Adwords Expenses – which is really basic business sense. This is easier said than done, I tried it and got dismal results. The next problem would be how to get visitors to click on Adsense links. Well, the first thing that needs to be done is to get an Adsense account. It’s pretty easy to setup. After that, you need to put the Adsense links on your website. There are people who say make it blend it when the rest of your pages. Here, on my website, you can see my Adsense Ads that seem to be part of the overall theme. Other experts say the more noticeable the advertisements, the more they will be clicked. In this case, the Ads stand out prominently – with a different, and sometimes contrasting color scheme. One tip given was actually position the Google Ad right next to an image/picture. Viewers tend to click on picture links, so more income potential income there. What does this all mean for a Filipino Entrepreneur? In my point of view, it means opportunities. Although I have just started experimenting on all of this myself, there seems to be a real possibility of gaining a little revenue. For example, I started this website (last January) and have, in my first month I gained US$7 from Adsense. It’s not much but consider this: * My expenses so far have been the webhosting (US$4 monthly), and domain name (US$3 for one year – got it at a discount). * If I continue getting US$7 a month, that would be, US$84 a year. * My year’s hosting would be US$48 * My theoretical income for one year would be US$33. There are other costs, of course, from writing the content for this website – electricity, less time to do other things, etc… I didn’t include it yet. If you had pre-existing content, this wouldn’t matter to you. Just upload it and you should be ready. For example, if you had a song lyrics database, you could find a pretty reliable web developer, have him upload your database, and include AdSense. Optimize it for search and you should soon get some revenue. It will probably not be big, but enough to get you interested. I remember on my last test with the wordtracker application, “Pinoy Ako Lyrics” were some of the top keywords I found. People were actually looking for lyrics of Filipino songs. Since new songs come out every month, whoever gets the lyrics out soonest would be found earlier. If you had a database of all Philippine Lotto Results ever since it began, you could probably have a statistics analyzer custom-made from your website. It could give suggested lotto numbers based on historical info. That would be something a lot of people would go to. There are probably other more interesting opportunities for the web-savvy Pinoy entrepreneur. As long as you get people to your website, and get them to click on an advertisement, there will be revenue.
Is your home hazardous to your health how indoor air pollution may trigger illness
: We tend to think of our homes as our havens--safe places to go in order to retreat from the assault of modern life. For the most part this is true. But there is a hidden danger lurking in the seemingly tranquil and protective confines of our houses, and it’s something we ought to sit up and notice. That hidden danger is the quality of indoor air. The act of breathing is so natural we don’t even realize we’re doing it, but what about the air that we take in every time we inhale? When was the last time you stopped to think about the quality of the air you were taking into your lungs, transmitting deep down into the cells of your body? If you were recently standing on a polluted corner of a busy city sidewalk, well, maybe you did stop to wonder about what sorts of dirt and dust molecules were seeping into your body. But for most of us, especially when we’re in our own homes, the quality of the air we’re breathing is not a big consideration--or not even a consideration at all. The truth of the matter is, the quality of air indoors (even in seemingly clean homes) can actually be far poorer than that of even the biggest, most industrialized, and dirtiest urban centers! To put that in plainer language: the air in your home could be worse for your health than the air you breathe walking through New York City or Beijing or San Francisco. What causes such potent and potentially harmful indoor pollution? For starters, the indoor usage of substances like cigarettes and cigars, paint, coal, furniture polish, cleaning fluids, asbestos, space heaters, and so on, can create a build-up of hazardous particles. The degree of severity often depends on whether or not there is adequate ventilation--how much outdoor air can get into the house, and vice versa. A home with very poor ventilation will pose a much worse health threat to its inhabitants than a home with lots of open windows and excellent ventilation. That’s not to say that homes with good ventilation can’t still be polluted--in fact, they certainly can be. Because most of us spend most of our time inside, rather than out of doors, the build-up of chemical and other airborne pollutants can pose serious health risks, triggering various ailments over time. This is especially true when the inhabitants of a home are elderly, chronically ill, or very young, or if they already have certain types of respiratory disease. The particular physical response depends on the type of contaminant. Biological pollutants may provoke allergic reactions, while types of tobacco smoke and other contaminants can trigger asthma attacks or create asthmatic conditions. Molds and mildews can spread more serious health problems, and the presence of contaminants like carbon monoxide can even result in death if the proper alert system (a carbon monoxide detector) is not in place and fully functioning. The good news is that you don’t have to live with hazardous air. Just recognizing the possibility of indoor air pollution is the first step toward creating an environment that is free of hazardous airborne particles. Clothesline fresh country myth breaker 17
Clothesline fresh, country fresh scent, smells like a country garden, those of us from the city have all seen our share of country clad laundry soap commercials. The token red barn glows in the distance. Closer in, clothes adorn the line. Each piece is so straight and evenly spaced you’d believe a team of sophomore geometry students hung them as their final class projects. Even more perfect, the lightest of breezes launches an ‘oh so soft’ billow along the stain free front row. Even I think, who wouldn’t want their clothes to be clothesline fresh? And, don’t those people own underwear? Ahhhh! I use my clothesline. I must. There is not a man in the five-state region willing to rise to the challenge of touching my daunting propane line and antiquated fuse box. Like my outhouse, my dryer is purely ornamental. Despite this forced march to my clothesline the results can be startlingly adequate. Yet as a good Cidiot (city idiot), It would be negligent of me if I did not point out a few hazards of clotheslines to budding country converts. Beware, hanging your skivvies in the wild is not all its cracked up to be. Consider these dilemmas. Seven of Ten Birds Prefer to Defecate Out of Doors – Avian species have a remarkable instinct for textile quality. Anyone doubting this should hang their Thai Silk robe on one end of the clothesline. Put a flannel shirt on the opposite side. At the end of the day tally the results. Sheets Attract Wind – Kids have a new kite? You can plan your day around it, guaranteed! Just wash your bedding in the morning and place it on your line. Rest assured, Mariah herself will blast through your backyard. Kites, bedding, lingerie, pugs - anything with a flat surface will dance its way through the sky, only to impale itself in full display atop the silo of your local feed mill. Remember the One Foot Rule – Most educated people know the three second rule. No matter where in your home you drop a piece of silverware, if you can retrieve it in three seconds or less you can eat off it without rinsing first. The one-foot rule, however, is only taught in rural school districts. It goes like this: Any textile on a clothesline that sags to within 12 inches of sweet Mother Earth, via the wind or any other means, must immediately be scent marked by every male canine (dogs, coyotes, wolves or prairie dogs) inside a three mile radius. Animals Have Hair – Strangely enough farms are inundated with animals. Go figure. With all due respect to clothespins, they do little to remove hair. It takes four fabric softener sheets and a small nuclear plant to fluff out an intricate weaving of fur and feathers. During the spring shed I keep a HAZMAT team on stand by just to clean my lint traps. Remodeling Your House? – You can save a fortune in costly building materials. Just hang your cotton towels out to dry on the clothesline. Not only will they dry stiff enough to be use as support beams, the bird shit will act as an adhesive for roofing projects. Remember on that warm spring day, when the cottonwoods are spawning and your best angora sweater has just hit the line, imagine, within a matter of hours it will be more than you ever dreamed possible. And, as always, it will smell ‘clothesline fresh!’
Home selling strategies for a normalizing market
: After a solid five year run of record home sales, the market is readjusting itself to a more normal level. Most of those who wanted to move have moved. Interest rates are rising again, lowering the upper end ceiling for buyers overall. With buyers qualifying for a lower mortgage today than they might have a year or two ago, the buyer pool for higher priced homes is shrinking. The large inventory of homes currently for sale is resulting in an overall downward trend of housing prices. With increased choices, buyers can be more choosy and take longer to make their decisions. As a result, longer market times may caution a buyer away from a property. There are three important factors for selling your home in today’s market: condition, price, and time. Condition reigns supreme over anything else. Buyers have so many choices right now that anything that looks like it needs work can be enough to kill your chances of selling. People prefer move-in condition, so if your property isn’t, you probably need to do what it takes to make it that way. It is worth the money to remove old wallpaper, paint, replace carpet, and replace the roof if it’s almost at the end of its life. Offering an allowance doesn’t work in these market conditions because buyers tend to overinflate the costs of these improvements, anticipating double or triple what it will actually cost you. Plus, with the number of homes for sale, if yours is the one that needs to be painted, chances are it’s also the one that won’t sell. There are exceptions, such as homes that need a complete overhaul, so it’s a good idea to discuss your home and your plans with your listing agent before getting started. A word about home improvements – consider improvements as solidifying your home’s value rather than increasing it when deciding on a price range. The kitchen you recently renovated or the room you added may help your home sell more quickly than the one down the street because it’s in better condition, but it won’t necessarily increase your home’s value.
If you’re not looking to sell your home right now, spending the money on upkeep and maintenance now can help you avoid needing to spend a lot all at once when it is time to sell. The second factor is price. You want to have the best price on the market. That doesn’t necessarily mean the lowest price, it means value. It’s a good idea to price your home aggressively because there are so many options available. If there are 40 homes for sale in your price range, you want your home to stand out as the best home for the money.
Misperception or misunderstanding of the current market conditions can lead to improper pricing which in turn can lead to excessive market time or even no sale at all. What you paid for your home or what your neighbors sold their home for last year are irrelevant when deciding on your asking price. Factors you and your Realtor should consider are your home’s current condition, the condition of other homes for sale in your price range, the asking price of homes similar to yours, and which homes are selling and which are not. Accurate pricing from the outset increases the likelihood that your home will find the right buyer quickly. The first three weeks on the market are the most important – that’s when people are excited to see the new kid on the block. A strategy of starting on the high end and then lowering it over time is rarely successful in a normalizing market. By the time the house is where it should be, interest has peaked and buyers have moved on. Finally, accept that it still takes time. There are only so many buyers out there and they have a lot of choices.
Average market times have been three to four months, so your goal is to reduce the selling time by carefully preparing your home and improving its condition plus adopting an aggressive pricing strategy. Then you just need patience and faith that the right buyer will see your home and decide that’s the home for them. Everyone’s situation is different, so be sure to discuss your situation with your Realtor and decide on the best strategy for your needs.

Cleaning mitts work wonders with the ultimate cloth
Housecleaning has been the bane of my existence for as long as I can remember. At the ripe old age of 50, I finally came to accept the fact that I would never be named "Housekeeper of the Year." I think that my recalcitrance stemmed from my belief that housekeeping was, to a large extent, pointless. Take the kitchen, for example. I would spend an hour or two scrubbing it to spotless perfection, only to cook a meal and have grease-spattered countertops and smudged cupboards defiantly stare back at me. In my heart, I just knew that all of the dust in the neighborhood chose my house as its final resting place. The stuff accumulated on the blinds, on picture frames, on ceiling fans, on knick-knacks - and of course on coffee tables and the top of the TV. My shortcomings as a housekeeper were never more obvious than when I went to visit my two closest friends. To say they are tidy is an understatement. A dust mote wouldn't dare cross the thresholds of their homes. I suspect that one of my friends cleans her house with the thought that Martha Stewart will show up any day to give it the white glove test, while the other spends part of each Saturday morning on a stepstool, cleaning the tops of her doorframes. On more than one occasion, I found myself rolling my eyes, wondering if they didn't have more productive ways to spend their time. Deep down, however, I was just a tad bit envious. After all, it's not that I don't enjoy the tranquility of a clean home; housekeeping just never came out at the top of my list of priorities. About a year ago, my perspective shifted when the three of us were out to lunch and one friend mentioned in passing that she'd misplaced her cleaning mitt. My other friend was empathetic, and I sat back as the two discussed the wonders of an ultimate cloth that made cleaning a breeze. As they waxed poetic about a mirafiber cloth that was washable, bleachable, and guaranteed for five years, I realized that they didn't spend an inordinate amount of time on housecleaning. Rather, they had found a product that made housekeeping a breeze. Although it went against my nature, I decided to give this ultimate cloth a try. What I discovered was eye-opening. Essentially, I could clean my whole house (and my car) with water and a cloth. I didn't need a whole cabinet full of cleaning supplies, and I didn't have to waste paper towels. Instead, I could wet the cloth, wring it out, wipe down the surface I was cleaning, and then walk away knowing it was all streak free. I could get rid of everything from hair spray and grease to dust and soap scum without using any chemicals at all. I even got a cleaning mitt, which worked great for blinds, ceiling fans, and small items. I'll still never be named "Housekeeper of the Year," but with my ultimate cloth, I discovered that keeping my house clean doesn't have to be an unpleasant chore. I don't have to choose between having a clean house and doing the things I love. Now, I can "clean as I go" and keep my house spic and span, and still have plenty of time for the things in life that are most important to me.
Chances for winning by the losers
In baseball, it has come close (see 2005 San Diego Padres, 1973 NY Mets). In the NFL, only two .500 teams have made the playoffs since 1991 (1991 NYJ, 2004 STL). In the NBA, however, it has been the norm to find teams with a losing record compete in late April and into May. Below, a table of the number of .500 win percentage teams, the number of first round games they have won, and the number of series they have gone on to win. First Round Playoff Stats Last 10 Years Year Teams at .500 or under Total first round games won Series Won 1996 2 2 0 1997 3 2 0 1998 1 2 0 1999 1 1 0 2000 0 0 0 2001 1 1 0 2002 0 0 0 2003 0 0 0 2004 4 4 0 2005 0 0 0 2006 3 Courtesy: Basketball-Reference Parody just hasn’t existed in the NBA playoffs. These 15 teams in the last 10 years have combined to win just 12 playoff games and have never advanced. In 2004, four teams in the East had the shot and surely one could pull off the upset? Not even the four vs. five could do it. The last time a team with a losing record entered the playoffs and won a Series was 1988. Then, the Seattle Supersonics boasted a 39-43 record as the 7-seed and made it all the way to the conference finals. They upset both Dallas and Houston, before being swept by Pat Riley’s Los Angeles Lakers. Since Seattle, a total of 31 teams have entered the playoffs with a record at or below .500. And these teams are 0-31 in playoff series. So, how good of a chance do Milwaukee (40-42), Chicago (41-41) and Indiana (41-41) have this year? I’m not going to say “none,” because that’s why they play the game—but let’s delve into these match-ups. (1) Detroit vs. (8) Milwaukee One-seeds haven’t lost since 1999. But there was a technicality about that year: First, 1999 was the NBA lockout year, and only 50 regular season games were played. Second, three other teams had the same 33-17 record, but Miami won by a tiebreaker. In a full 82-game season, it was the 1994 Denver Nuggets who upset the top-seeded Supersonics to advance to the second round. With Flip Saunders at the helm, we’ve seen the Pistons play looser offensively, but still maintaining impressive defense—leading them to their best regular season record ever (64-18). Don’t worry about the nonsense concerning Ben Wallace not getting along with Flip: This team is focused when it comes to the playoffs. Having said this, Milwaukee has their hands full. Let’s just look at player vs. player matchups. Detroit Milwaukee Advantage PG Billups Ford Detroit SG Hamilton Redd Detroit SF Prince Simmons Detroit PF R. Wallace Bogut Detroit C B. Wallace Magloire Detroit Billups will substitute size for speed and can dominate Ford. Hamilton is a workhorse. Prince is undoubtedly better than Simmons. And I’ll just point out the experience from the front court to suffice my argument for the Wallaces. To make matters worse, the only type of success they had against Detroit was when they played Toni Kukoc at the three. Kukoc is already banged up and will miss the first game, so his health will be a definite factor. Prediction: Pistons in a sweep (2) Miami vs. (7) Chicago Chicago is the hottest of the East’s bottom-3, finishing 12-2 in their final 14 to slip into the show. They had a similar run in the final month of the season last year, winning 15 of their last 19 games. The Bulls’ only win against the Heat in the regular season came back on April 15 when the Heat rested most of their stars. In the playoffs, it comes down to defense and though the “Baby Bulls” are young, they do buckle down, leading the NBA for the second straight season in defensive field-goal percentage (.426). Offensively, the Bulls’ patented “drive-and-kick” out game has given opposing teams a hard time. Ben Gordon ranks 2nd in the Eastern Conference, hitting 43.9-percent from 3-point land, and point-guard Kirk Hinrich has shot 42.9-percent from behind the arc in his last five games. Although the Heat have been locked into the No. 2 spot since basically January, I don’t see them having trouble kicking into high gear. Even when the Bulls shut down Wade in their meetings this year (12.3 ppg), the Heat have found a way to win. The Bulls have no answer for Shaq, who had 14 points and 6 rebounds in just 20 minutes of action on April 15. Prediction: Heat in 5 (3) New Jersey vs. (6) Indiana This might very well be the best shot for a team at the .500 mark in the regular season to win a Series. The Nets came from the weak Atlantic Division that sent no other teams beside themselves to the playoffs. The two teams have similar defensive work ethics, as they are 5th and 6th in points allowed, respectively, in the NBA. The interesting thing about this series is the way they view each other: New Jersey players have said the Pacers are a good transition and look to slow it down, while Indiana players have said the exact same thing about the Nets! Wow, this should be a fun series to watch! Jermaine O’Neal looks to be healthy into the playoffs, having played 30-plus minutes in his final 11 regular season games, but I don’t foresee him being the difference. The difference must come from the defense side of the ball, in particular, the ability to stop Vince Carter. Peja Stojakovic and Stephen Jackson must play top-notch to pull the upset. I have a feeling this series will go seven. The Nets were 29-12 at home, fourth-best home record in the Eastern conference, so that’s the way I lean. Prediction: Nets in 7 Bet the NBA Playoffs @ WagerWeb Sportsbook wagerweb/sportsbook
Setting financial systems for your business
One of the most common reasons why home businesses fail is that these businesses do not really have good financial systems. A lot of small business owners do not really keep good records of their revenue and expenses that they find it hard to determine whether their business is earning enough or not. If you are one of those business owners who have not been keeping good financial records, now is the best time for you to establish good financial systems for your company. Always remember that good financial systems will not only help your business grow, it will also keep you out of trouble when it is time to file for your income tax returns. If you have an accountant, call him/her and explain that you are just starting your own home business. You will be surprised of all the tax deductions you are able to claim (heat, electricity, phone, rent, etc). Your accountant will advise you to keep financial records for your business. Setting Up Your Financial Records: You do not really have to be an accountant or a professional bookkeeper to be able to keep records of your financial transactions. To set up your financial records manually, all you need is a worksheet where you can record all your earnings and your expenses. To keep everything simple, just use a two column worksheet where you can record all your earnings in one column and your expenses in the other. Record your financial transactions at the end of each day so that you will not miss out something. Keep all your bills and receipts on file so that your accountant will be able to easily review your transactions later on for purposes of filing your income tax returns. Another way to keep records of your financial transactions is the use of those accounting software being sold in the market today. The good thing about using accounting software is that you do not have to keep a lot of papers in your office and you do not have to bother writing things down a number of times in your worksheets. Just load the program into your computer and you can already use it by following the menu. With the use of good accounting software, all you need to do is to enter your financial transactions for the day and the software will do the rest of the work. Most of this accounting software will also give you complete financial statements after you uploaded all the necessary information so you get to save a lot of time and efforts in computing your earnings. What is more interesting about this computer software is that some of these can also help you project your future income and calculate your estimated internal rate of returns. How Much Will the Accounting Software Cost You? The price of the accounting software will depend on the complexity of the program that you need. Simple programs do not really cost so much so you need not worry about the cost. Besides, you can always put the cost of accounting software as part of your business expenses. Get organized early in the game and avoid the pitfalls that may come later. Good luck and stay the course!
The road less travelled
"Two roads diverged in a wood, and I, I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference." - Robert Frost I watched Leni Riefenstahl’s Triumph of the Will, a very controversial film on Hitler’s 1934 Nuremberg Rally put on by equally controversial Toronto film connoisseur, Reg Hartt, at the Cineforum (a make-shift theatre in his home). The movie blew me away. It was a powerful, real-life portrayal of Hitler’s propaganda machine and the horrifying consequences of mass media manipulation. An eerie chill went through my spine as I saw aerial footage of column after column of endless soldiers marching through the streets of Nuremberg. Little German boys and girls hailing the Fuhrer with innocent smiles and outstretched hands of youthful idealism. Little German youths beating the drums of death. Hitler parting a sea of loyal soldiers. And watching a nation mesmerized by the spell of this diminutive, unassuming, and rather plain looking monster. What really hit me though was Reg Hartt’s commentary after the movie ended. A lady had kept coming to the viewing of that movie, over and over again. She had attended the viewing over sixteen times. When he asked her what she found so fascinating about the film. She told him that she was the young smiling girl in the movie looking down from a rooftop at Hitler’s parade. She was with her Mother, Father, sisters, and brother. They were waiving the Nazi flag and cheering Hitler on. They were Jews. She was the only survivor in her family. What flag are you waiving? What herd mentality have we accepted without further thought, without scrutiny? I challenge you to take the road less traveled by. It is uncommon knowledge that gives rise to uncommon leadership. Do something uncommon. Go to the library and pick out a book that you would never touch in a million years. Watch a film in a genre that you rarely see. Attend a lecture on a topic that would make most people go, “Huh?” What is one thing you can do or experience this month that is uncommon? Go do it.

If knowledge is power, then after you have finished this article, you will be feel like Mighty Man when this subject is brought up in casual conversation. Debt consolidation and refinance mortgages
Mortgages are secured loans that are given to first time buyers, homeowners and people who have bad credit. Once you are accepted for the loan, you must repay the debt, which will include interest rates. Some refinancing loans have additional fees attached. The secured loans have collateral attached, means that if you fail to make payments, you are subject to foreclosure or repossession. The bank will come and take your home and sell it for the amount you owe. This is why it is wise to make sure you know what you are getting into if you plan to refinance to consolidate your debts. Some loans permit buyers to repay the loans in 25 years, while others allow 30 repayments. Few of the lenders available on the Internet that offer refinance loans for consolidation of debts are aware that people go through hard times-or at least they don't deal with people directly enough to actually feel this hardship through talking to them. On the loans that offer lower interest rates, combine payments for debt consolidation. If you can manage to pay for the loan in the time stipulated, it is likely that you will take less time to pay back the loan amount borrowed. Once you find a lender to refinance your mortgage and combine your bills for debt consolidation, you will receive a loan based on capital and interest. The Repayment loans for refinancing and consolidation make it easy, since the lenders will combine the interest and repayments into one monthly installment. Still, few lenders will allow you to repay the interest rates only; however, be aware that these types of loans do not combine your payments for consolidation; rather they put you at risk in some instances. Still, there are several types of loans available that will help you refinance for debt consolidation, so keep an open mind and mull over your choices carefully before you make a final decision. One of the most important tasks debtors must carry out to achieve in debt consolidation is keeping away from complications. When debtors have bills that are behind merely because they didn't have the cash to repay the debts, then their stress will build. Some people may go on binge, spending instead of paying their bills, and procrastinating instead of working to restore their credit. These people may believe that after three, seven or ten years the problem will end, since the credit reports remove any pending debts after seven years and any bankruptcies after ten years. The fact is, the problem doesn't go away the problems only get bigger. Yes, it is true: after three years, if you manage to payoff a debt, then the debt is removed from your credit report. In addition, yes, it is true if after seven years you failed to make payments the debt is removed in most instances from your credit report. Furthermore, it is true that in many cases, after ten years, bankruptcy is removed from your credit report. If you have the patience to wait this long, can tolerate the hassling phone calls and letters, and don't mind worrying about going to court for this long, then by all means procrastinate. Bills and debt consolidation is optional, however bill and debt reduction is your best bet. You can do this by start paying as much every month on your bills as possible to reduce your debts.
5 Important tips on piano lessons
5 Important Tips for Piano Lessons Must-Have information before deciding on Piano Lessons! Music is a very important part of our lives. It does a lot more than just please our ears – it is an integral part of human development. Several years ago, there was an experiment done by scientists at the University of California at Irvine in 1993. (published in the journal Nature) They had college students listen to Mozart Sonata for two Pianos in D Major, a relaxation tape or silence. Immediately after these sessions, the students took a spatial reasoning test (the ability to put together puzzles) and the students’ scores improved drastically after listening to the Music. The reason is because music and spatial abilities share the same pathways in the brain. Another experiment was done later on by researchers at Appalachian State University and the researchers were successful as well in connecting music to boosting “brain power”. They gave preschool children (ages 3-4 yrs. old) training for 8 months. Children were divided into 4 groups: Keyboard lessons, Singing lessons, Computer lessons and No lessons. After 8 months of this treatment, the children were tested on their ability to put together puzzles (spatial-temporal reasoning) and to recognize shapes (spatial-recognition reasoning) and the results were astounding! They found that only those children who had taken the keyboard lessons had improvement in the spatial-temporal test. (The children did not, however show any change with the spatial-recognition.) Another interesting observation I’ve made is the connection between the Medical profession and the Music profession – a large majority of M. D.’s are Classically trained musicians! I’ve encountered many and have asked them all the same question – how do you make the connection between the medical and the musical – and the response I’ve had is that they are both very intricate and require a rare focus and mathematical mindset in many different directions at once. It’s achieved by many years of training in either and/or both fields, which by the same token - enhance each other. So to them – the similarity in brain function and focus is evident and invaluable to both the medical and the musical. It will be interesting to see the results of further study in that matter. Currently, there is no conclusive proof scientifically of the connection between Medical and Musical. Now – for the 5 Tips for Piano Lessons! 1) Interest: Assess the interest of your child. Is this something they really like – or is it your dream? The child should show genuine interest in music and a keyboard in order for their learning experience to be a pleasant and successful one. If they are not interested – ask yourself why you even pursued it? Is it because you have an inner desire for it? It’s NEVER too late to begin! Sign yourself up for Piano lessons if that’s the case. I’ve have students of every age – some played when they were kids then quit. As they got older, regretted quitting and vowed to one day pick it up again. Then there are others who always had the desire but not the opportunity and now find themselves retired with plenty of time on their hands. They’ve actually become Piano virtuosos! I give you these lovely examples to give you hope and a nudge – psssst! It’s never too late! The student must be genuinely interested. 2) Instrument: It’s fine to begin Piano lessons on an electronic keyboard. As time goes on, the student will know in which direction they’d like to take the Piano lessons. If it’s just for personal enjoyment, it’s fine to stay with a keyboard. If it’s for classical Piano training – then the student should be switched over to an acoustic Piano. In my experience as a Piano teacher, I’ve realized that a Spinet Piano (the ones that have a low back) unless it is given as a gift, should not be purchased. It would be preferable to purchase an “Upright” which is a Baby Grand Piano, but instead of the strings being vertical they’re horizontal. The reason being, that the action on the keys is much better technically for the student’s hand, and it sound substantially better to the ear. 3) Teacher: Ask around and get feedback from others about their teachers. Find out the teacher’s background. Where did they get the education from, how long have they been teaching, where do they teach from, what are the surroundings like? Ask current students how patient the teacher is and how do they feel during the lesson. You should get a pretty good idea about the teacher by how current students are progressing. Does the teacher’s personality blend with your child’s. Remember, this is a choice! In school the children have to adapt to the teacher that has been assigned to them, and that’s a good thing. They learn to get along with different types of personalities, but Piano is an extra-curricular activity and should be a pleasant one that they look forward to. 4) Schedule: Children can be easily overwhelmed by too much in their schedule. As adults – we’ve experienced overload for ourselves and it’s SO counterproductive! It’s highly advisable to limit activities in order for the kids not to be pulled in too many directions. Once activities have been chosen, I’ve found with my own kids and students that by writing down a daily schedule, everything gets done and there are no excuses for forgetting to practice. 5) Dedication: Once a schedule is in place, practicing piano will become part of daily routine. After a while, the student won’t be so “worried” about time, but will want to achieve goals set by the teacher. The student will need dedication in order for the craft to go from mechanical to musical. Encourage them to listen to a wide range of styles and genre’s in order for them to develop their own taste for music. At an early stage, dedication can be ingrained in a student by participating in Recitals, Talent Shows and Worship Services. It takes diligence and dedication – also sacrifices to make piano a beautiful craft.
Mixed drink
“Cocktail” is a type of mixed drink which is consumed in many countries. It's a type of liquor with flavouring agents. It contains fruit juice, sauces, honey, milk, cream or spices. The cocktail had become popular after the prohibition in United States . The disadvantage in buying cocktail is that many bar owners mix both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with the drink. This is very hazardous to consume. The olden day's cocktails were made in combination with gin, whisky or rum and with a small amount of vodka. Many cocktails were made traditionally by mixing it with gin which is called as gimlet or martini. This type of mixed drinks was introduced after the period of 1980's. The word cocktail was determined by Dr. David Wonderich in October 2005. A benefit of drinking a sip of cocktail is that it will keep you relieved from head aches. “Cocktail” is liquor composed of sugar, water and bitter agents. It is also called as bittered sling. And it is also supposed to be an electioneering potion, since it keeps the heart stout and bold. It is said that a person who swallows one sip of cocktail is ready to swallow anything else. There are several cocktail recipes; they come in different compositions according to the bartenders. In addition of Punches, Sours, Slings, Cobblers, Shrubs, Toddies, Flips, and a variety of other types of mixed drinks were 10 recipes for drinks referred to as "Cocktails". The quality and quantity of alcohol present in cocktail is very less when compared to the other alcoholic drinks. The cost of the cocktails also has a big difference when compared to other drinks. So, nowadays bartenders have started preparing cocktails. They are mixed with different types of other drink such as gin, whisky, milk and cream. It is not mixed with water. The ingredients mixed depend upon the region from where you get the drink. While serving cocktails, it is to taken care that you serve the drink in the appropriate glass. The cocktail glass is of a shape with a wide, shallow bowl, on a stem above a flat base. The cocktail glasses are designed in such a shape that the temperature should not change.
Uk property investors go for philippine condotel investments
Investments in buy to let properties or Condo Hotels in the Philippines have increased in popularity by 29 per cent during the last three months, making it the second most popular investment vehicle behind consumers’ own homes, according to PLC Global. Beth Collingz, Global marketing Director of PLC International Marketing Networks, a company specializing in Condo Hotel or Condote Sales and Marketing in the Philippines, comments: "The UK Savings and Investments index clearly shows that the UK saver prefers to invest in bricks and mortar and more and more investors are moving offshore to take advantage of the much cheaper prices in the Philippines and high rates of rental returns as room rates in Metro Manila and Cebu, two major Cities in the Philippines, are not much less than rates charged for rooms in Europe making the Philippines buy to let properties an ideal property investment". The Philippines, located in Southeast Asia, is one of the few fully democratic nations with a predominantly English speaking population benefiting from substantial foreign direct investment and billions of dollars in remittances from overseas Filipinos. According to the report these facts mean that over the coming decade the housing market in Philippines will likely go from strength to strength and anyone who invests now could net up to 400% profit on their investment in the next ten years. Because property prices in the Philippines for mid range Condominium developments start from as little as twenty five thousand Pounds [25,000 GBP], the room for property price expansion is clear. The low starting prices for real estate in the Philippines also mean that its property sector is already attracting substantial international real estate investor interest. Investors from all backgrounds are attracted to the Philippines - those with a small sum of money to invest are looking to make immediate gains from buying Condos in Metro Manila preconstruction which can be purchased by stage payment and profited from upon completion when investors are flipping the real estate right back into the market. Those with more substantial sums of money to invest are generally drawn to either the Condotel Investment property sector in Manila or the Philippines burgeoning tourism market. Opportunities in the Philippines tourism market exist along the country’s stunning and as yet undeveloped coastline and also in the Philippines quality but as yet little known beach resorts. Accommodation in these locations is required to let out to tourists and a growing number of British citizens are also seeking second homes in these areas of Cebu, Philippines as well, with most preferring to purchase Condotel or Fully Managed and Operated Condo Developments where a rental income can be gained when not using their units. Pacific Concord Properties, Inc., Flagship Lancaster Atrium Suites Condotel [Manila] development located along Shaw Boulevard, Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila, is one of the hottest Condotel Investments in the Philippines where property investors, apart from real estate appreciation initially reckoned to be 100% for early investors, will get projected Rental Incomes on their units of up to 16% per annum once fully operational from 2010 To be called Lancaster Atrium [which is the second Tower adjacent to the existing “Sold Out” Tower I] Condotel Studios, One, Two & Three Bedroom Suites are currently available to Property Investors adopting International Standard Escrow Trust Account “Buyer Safe” Easy Secure Payment Plans… with 6 year interest free payment terms or up to 12 year no prequalification "In-House" financing [available to all overseas buyers], full condo ownership, no management costs for Condotel Suites, no enrollment charges for joining the Condotel Rental Pool, and minimum monthly maintenance fees, as buyers or sellers of Real Estate you really should take a moment to look at this Philippine Condotel Investment Opportunity According to Beth Collingz, of PLC International Marketing Networks, a Lead Marketing Partner with Pacific Concord Properties Inc., whom have Condotel developments in Metro Manila and Cebu, and specializes in working with international clients: “My phone has been very busy with buyers from the UK, Scotland and Australia interested in purchasing investment properties and holiday homes here. A lot of this interest is being driven by the relatively cheap market prices in the Philippines compared to Europe, especially UK Housing prices, and the easy payment options available for our Condotel Developments where they can use the Condo for vacations and rent it out through our In-House Condotel Management thereby gaining rental incomes that on today’s purchase prices, give a projected ROI of some 12-16% depending upon mode of payment for the unit” Beth Collingz Director - PLC International Marketing Networks

Dating and relationship tips
Since Dating and Relationships are such a large, important part of everyday life, this article strives to help clear up myths from facts and present an overview of surrounding issues. Show Off – If you have a great body you’re trying to show off and young physical appearance, yet worry because you still seem to have difficulty finding dates and establishing relationships, here are some pointers. Turn off the “ME” focus. Others tend to see that as boorish and think you only care about yourself, not others and certainly not them. Instead, turn the focus on outside interests that the other person can relate to, even if it has to be the weather. For help, tune in to an online news source like CNN or subscribe to a national or other major newspaper or magazine like Newsweek or head to the public library for the latest news briefs. Online dating might be a good outlet for you, to as it generally offers a place to list all your great physical qualities as well as outside interests and more, presenting a more rounded dating candidate. Then those who are VERY interested in great abs, youthful appeal, etc. will be able to check you out. And those who are interested in the other interests can focus on those, too. Sit, Don’t Take a Stand – Instead of voicing your opinions over issues that you pretty well know, cause heated arguments, don’t take a stand. Just sit them out. There’s no shame in passing up an argument. For example, if you both call yourselves “Christians,” yet one of you firmly has a complete set of rules and regulations about what a “Christian” really is, and doesn’t hesitate to voice this, skip over conversations about religion. If you have to, simply say something along the lines of, “This gets us too heated, so let’s pass on if for now and move on to something else.” Agree that it’s okay to disagree. Because it is! Traditions – Keep up with some old traditions from each family. Alter some; create new ones. The main thing here is to make positive memories that you can share and relive over and over, especially during rough spots when you can’t remember why you are together. Traditions can be like glue and bind you with a common past. Sex Vs Love – Sex and love are not the same thing. Learn the difference and don’t measure love by your hormones. Negotiator – Forget “his” and “hers” roles and who “should” do what when…Learn to negotiate. What works one day may not work another when timing is off, kids are on the run and disaster strikes, for instance, when your mother-in-law drops by unexpectedly. Love and Hate – Love your mate. It is OK to strongly dislike (or “maybe” hate) a behavior, like cracking knuckles or biting nails. But remember to love the person.
How a gps device can make your trip more efficient and worthwhile
I pretty much use my portable GPS navigator in my car every day, like when I’m going to visit my relatives in Mississippi. I usually like to drive out there since I’m up here in Chicago, and I’d rather not take a plane. If I took a plane I couldn’t stop anywhere and look at any of the interesting things along the way – I usually plan my course so that I can see as many things as possible on the way there, but without my portable GPS navigator I would be stranded on taking just one of the interstates south. It’s just not fun driving so long without seeing anything, and I really hate airplanes – so I use mine and its map to make sure I am where I should be. When I do go to my aunts or grandmother’s house down in Mississippi I have to use the darn thing an awful lot so I don’t get lost on the back roads. They live a bit out of the way, so it can be very confusing, and since I don’t visit but once or twice a year it’s hard for me to remember where I am at or which way I am going. If I didn’t have the portable GPS I probably wouldn’t be able to find it for hours on end, but thankfully I have the portable GPS navigator in my car. It also helped me when my cousin, Jake, had appendicitis over Thanksgiving when I drove down there. He’d been complaining about pain in his stomach for a while, and we all thought he was being dramatic, until we realized something was wrong – so instead of waiting on an ambulance trying to find the house out there in the backwoods, I threw him in the back of the car and brought Uncle Zachariah with us, he’d never seen something like the portable GPS navigator before. I punched in to go to the nearest hospital and we were there in about twenty minutes without one single wrong turn. Later on, after Jake had his appendix removed he made me drive him and Zachariah back to the house (this was much later on after they did their quick operation – they said if it had been any later his appendix may have burst) and they both sat there quietly watching the little screen do its work on the GPS navigator. When we got back to the house I heard Jake begging to get one, and then I heard Zachariah begging his wife to allow it – because they were impressed. The rest of that weekend turned into me giving everyone a ride in the car just so they could see how it worked. Later on I showed them my cell phone, which also has a GPS locator in it and I can display maps of where I am on it. They were impressed, all of their cell phones did the whole instant messaging thing, but none of them had known about the portable GPS abilities that you could also get in a cellular. Well, that’s pretty much how I use mine.
Did you steal that article 3 steps to avoiding plagiarism
We draw our inspiration from a variety of sources, so it's logical that every now and then someone may say we swiped an article. Of course the charge is false. Bottom line: Real article marketing pros don't steal content, because we don't have too. Gathering data from many sources can cause a problem now and then. That's why I've developed a three step system for avoiding those accusations and it's served me well for the several years that I've been using article marketing to boost traffic to my Web sites. If you're holding back from article marketing because of a lack of original ideas - don't fear. Here are three ways to ensure you'll stay clear of plagiarism police when you write your content-rich article: 1. Take the structure, not the words. When using other people's articles as inspiration for your own – a very common practice among professional writers – look at the article for it’s structure and not necessarily the words themselves. For instance, I use templates to quickly write my articles. I use various types of templates, but there are hundreds out there. So just look for the template – or the structure – of the article and swipe that. After all, structure isn't copyrighted, but the writer's words are. 2. Draw from many sources. Another great way to make your articles original is to take pieces of information from a variety of sources and industries. I'm always on the lookout for good ideas, inspiring headlines, and some motivational quotes, which can set off a flood of article content – giving me five to 10 articles all at once. Start holding on to junk mail, interesting ezines and quotes. When you're looking for advice for your articles, turn to these sources to give you just the boost you need. 3. Gather a bank of your favorite writers. Some writers just give me the greatest rush of information. No matter how many times I read their books and listen to their pod casts I seem to get something new from what they have to say. Who puts wind in your sails? Whoever it is, there's no crime in taking bits of pieces of their concepts and putting your own spin on them. Chances are, they did the same thing with their mentors/favorite authors. Bonus solution: Give the author credit. You can always just bite the bullet and reveal your sources so-to-speak. Attribute an idea, thought or phrase to the original author. Then debunk whatever it is he or she has said. You can also completely agree and offer a case study of exactly why you agree with what the author said. Attributing information to the original author silences all plagiarism critics.
